Easy...Breezy... Beautiful...

Here is the first installment of my Charlie's Angels Series... The new version so to speak. Its very obvious from the pic that my first repaint is Drew.

I picked this photo as a reference for her make up
here is Drew before I took over her face... she literally naked... sorry for the nippies! ;)

Here's the finished product! I hope I achieved the look that I want. I am pretty much happy with the results. Though my camera seems to turn everything to orange but in person, her makeup is is closer to the make up referrence.

Unlike my reference, I made her look slightly to the side as if she's looking on the horizon.
Talk about staring into space.. nyihihihihi...

I muted the color for this one!

Well for this one, I totally removed the color! ;)
I hope I could finish the two remaining girls soon. Till next!
Tootles! ^_^

Alpha Male

Hehehehe... I was tasked to make this male Tonner doll to look differently... It was hard since painting male faces is not my thing but here it goes

Here's the original face paint. I erased the eyebrows when I remember to take a shot for
before profiles. The wig was removed when I got him... hmmmm.. think think think...

A little paint here and there....

Hehehehe... the result was okay but I am not as happy as I hoped I would be... He appears to be going into a gay pride parade of some sort... Oh what the hell! He still looks hot...
Though I need some practice with the stubbles...

Btw, I also added a tattoo on his back... So the female doll (or male .. ;) ;) ) would have something too look at when looking at the ceiling mirrors... HAHAHAHAHAHHAHA..... '_' WHATEVE! Tootles!

MM Divas!

For this set of blog, I would be showing 2 of the dolls I repainted the past weeks. Though I haven't made outfits for them I am happy with the results! Thanks to my Wowo who constantly coaches me with my repaints. :-*

First is Cher, well almost everyone knows her. I got her from a lot that I bought a couple of months back. Actually I liked the halfbreed Cher than the 80s version which is shown below. So, I took matters into my own hands... hehehehehe... :))
First, I took care of the hair... I washed the hair gel off then boil straight the hair.

After a few scalded fingers, I have managed to straighten her hair. WOOPI!
Now to the hard but super fun part, repainting.

TADA!!! here's the finished product. Actually, I brought this doll to work and took this photo. I cropped the background so you won't see unecessary notes... memos... ahihihihihi ;)
I used a Best model outfit for the meantime but I have an outfit already in mind. ;)

For the second set, I chose a Beyoncé head. Unlike the one that I made before, this facemold was really meant for the Beyoncé doll.

I have to pluck to lashes out or they might get in the way as I repaint.

Here she is! I made her wear an old Barbie the I have. I adjusted to back part to fit her
well. Since I have made a gold gown for her. I am thinking of making her a more
colorful gown that will compliment her skin tone.

Actually, I have another Pop diva repainted. She already has an outfit and
completely styled. But that would be another blog. Till next! Tootles! ;)

My Ponytail Birthday

Hehehehe... I just found some photos from my surprise birthday party. It was my BF's and best friend's idea... My brother had an idea about it so when i whined about them not greeting me on my day he plainly said "ANG ARTE MO!!!" . So, I went to bed and fell asleep. Then at around 6am int he morning my brother was knocking very LOUDLY at my room. When I opened the door, I saw pink arrows at the floor...

Hehehe.. just by looking at the drawings, I can tell where this arrow would lead me to

A couple of steps more and...
WOOHOO!!! LAVETT!!! A surprise Vintage Barbie Themed party.
(sorry guys if you won't see me and my friends in this blog it's 6am in the morning
and most of us are very oily... bed head?! take a guess... hehehehe ;))

Just to give you an idea here are the food that they prepared for me

that my friend LC made it... hehehhe... OC!!! ;)

Feast for the health buff this whole wheat sandwich is a
guilt-free treat even the eggs!!! Check out the decoration
Alaveet

The ice cream cake was a blast to eat... It's my birthday can you
blame me for binging?! I got to keep the doll! (my hun repainted and restyled
this repro). Love you!!! :-*

Here are the props: I kept almost everything except for the edible
ones... BURP! :-O

(Snaps for my BF and BFF!!! the food was delish!!! Even for my brother for
the bad acting... JOKE!!!! you got me there!!!!)

As a bonus all of us wore different shirts with Barbie as a design.

It was Barbie overload!!! It was a perfect day!!! I would like to thank everyone
for the effort... the good food... the fab setup... everything I can think of.
As always, Barbie never fails to make people happy... not only me but those whom I

Celebrating 50 years In My Own Little Way

Last March 9, 2009 marks Barbie's 50th anniversary. Unfortunately, I was plagued with food poisoning during the day of her birthday. I felt bad then, since I can't celebrate her day feeling sick. But surprisingly the day after, while I was resting at home, A client who bought dolls from me in the past, asked me if I wanted to be featured in a TV show since its Barbie's 50th. I definitely said yes. Even though I am feeling a little bit wang, I managed to fix my setup to display my dolls (thanks to my boyfriend and my bestfriend! ;) ). The next day came and the TV crew arrived.

First, they asked me how I began collecting up to the point on how I choose the face molds for my dolls. (the first collecting part was edited out... hihihihihi ;) )

Then they asked me to repaint a doll... Talk about pressure it was a blast from the past. I remember how I was supposed to finish a whole poster for an hour an a half... whew!

heheheh having a break... the lights are making sweat... drip drip drip...

Back to work... it was a couple of shots and it was very tiring!!!

And now for the main star... my OOAK dolls!!! For the episode, they chose 3 dolls to highlight namely my Beyoncé, Brad and Angelina dolls.

Shooting just three of the dolls in my collection was a very tiring. It took us around 5 hours just shooting the dolls alone for just a snippet of a segment... I was afraid they'll get fried... :-s

Then the next day, they asked me to go to their studio to shoot some clips. I have to go there after work... and wear the same outfit I wore the day before.. eeeeww!

I may have missed Barbie's big day, but God has been good to me and gave me, my boyfriend and my best friend a chance to celebrate in our own little way!!! ^_^

Bigger Heads

Lately, a friend asked me to repaint his 16" dolls at first it was difficult. But then again it's easier to add details.

The dolls actually have the same facemold. so the owner asked me to make the first one a little slutty and the other one a bit innocent.

(eew.. dirty nails... sorry... hehehehehe)

Come to think of it. It's quite fascinating how something so similar but with a little of make up tricks can be so different.

For the next doll, it's an Elle doll that I repainted. I don't have the before photos though.

The next set of dolls are butterfly ring dolls. They are all bald. But the first one, I placed a wig so it would look weird. :)
The dolls face was totally blank when the owner gave it to me. It has indented eyeballs so it quite difficult to repaint it.

The eyes are almost over. I am so totally enjoying repainting this doll!!!

Photobucket
A little lips, blush and throw in some wig! Et voila!!! Here's the finish product!

The next set of dolls have fresh looking make up. Unlike this one which had the smokey eyes effect.

Those were a lot of heads! But the rewards are worth it. Right now, m in a bit of an R and R from customizing. I want to start fixing my own dolls! wahaahhaha... Till next blog! ;)
